What is Amazon.com:

Amazon.com is an online retailer that is dominating the internet retail space. In 2015, Amazon did roughly 60% of US online sales (Source Marketwatch). Being that they are the largest online retail company, it would follow that most products sold in the US online are being sold through their website. For this reason and others that will be explained later on, Amazon can be a great investment strategy for you.

What is a Amazon.com 3rd Party Seller:

Amazon has 3 different seller types that are clearly marked on each listing under the "Ships from and sold by" section.

Seller Type #1 - Amazon Themselves manufactures & retails products directly to consumers. See below highlighted example:

Seller Type #2 - 3rd Party Sellers that choose Amazon Fulfillment to ship their orders.
Seller Type #3 - 3rd Party Sellers that pack and ship items themselves.
